FAQs

Why choose a pet photographer? Pets are truly cherished members of the family, and as pet photography becomes increasingly popular, it offers a way to capture the beauty and essence of our animals during the precious time they share with us. With specialized equipment, pet photography can preserve a pet’s joyful moments—whether they’re chasing a ball—or create a timeless portrait that captures the depth and character reflected in their eyes.

What if my cat or dog cannot be off-lead when outside? Not to worry, we offer two solutions for that. As an editing specialist, I can seamlessly remove most leads from photos without it being noticeable. Additionally, we provide a secure 100sqm fenced pen where pets can roam freely, ensuring they have plenty of space to explore.

What if my dog is reactive or nervous? The session will begin with a meet and greet, tailored to your preferences. If needed, this may include a short walk to help your dog acclimate to the surroundings. As a dog owner myself, I understand that every dog has its own personality. I have a reactive dog who requires time and space to feel comfortable, particularly avoiding eye contact with strangers initially. Regardless of your dog’s temperament, I will work closely with you to ensure they feel at ease throughout the session.

What if my pet cannot sit still for a portrait? As we specialize in pet photography, capturing the perfect shot is never an issue. My camera equipment is designed to capture images in a fraction of a second, ensuring we can quickly get that ideal moment. We also have a variety of treats and toys to help capture your pet's attention during the session.

Are you able to come to us? Yes, I do offer travel options and am happy to accommodate specific locations, including any favorite walks your pet enjoys. Please note that depending on the distance, there may be an additional charge to cover fuel and travel time. I will always ensure the pricing is fair and transparent.

What if it rains? Rain is simply something we adapt to on the day. If there is a break in the weather, we’ll take advantage of it to capture some outdoor action shots. That being said, I’m also more than happy to photograph in the rain. There’s something truly special about capturing a dog running joyfully in the rain—it makes for a fantastic shot! For those who prefer to stay dry, if the rain persists, we can decide on the day whether you’d like to return for the action shots at a later time or focus more on capturing the perfect portrait indoors.

Can i be in the photo? Absolutely! It’s a privilege to capture your dog’s special moments with their owner. We offer family pet portraits during the outdoor session, as the indoor setup is specifically designed for pet-focused photography.
